Process Engineering

Emenu maintains an established framework of processes and procedures to support our engineering and business practices utilizing CMMI® (Capability Maturity Model Integrated). Our intention for utilizing CMMI® is to provide a means by which Emenu product and service development can be executed by utilizing a framework of established disciplines (or bodies of knowledge). These disciplines are: Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Integrated Product and Process Development, and Supplier Sourcing. Our Internal Infrastructure for this objective has been created and consists of a Steering Committee, EPG (Engineering Process Group) and a PAT(s) (Process Action Team) each establishing founding charters.

Emenu has chosen a staged representation which offers a systematic, structured way to approach process improvement, one step at a time. Utilizing this method for process improvement ensures that an adequate improvement has been laid as a foundation for the next stage. In a staged representation, process areas are grouped into maturity levels providing a clear path for process improvement. Emenu currently operates with a CMMI compliance level of 2; this includes a year-end goal of certification to maturity level 2. Maturity level 2 is also known as “Managed” and at this level, Emenu has the ability to ensure that requirements are managed and that processes are planned, performed, measured, and controlled.

In order for our clients to become more acquainted with our processes and procedures, we’ve made them available for your review on our site. Some people may be used to viewing the CMMI processes by categories (e.g., Process Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Support) while others may care to view them by maturity level (e.g., levels 2, 3, 4 and 5). By clicking on the two buttons below, our processes and procedures can be arranged in either a category or a maturity level view (the category view is the default). Once you have the view you like, just click on the categories, levels or process areas to expand and/or elide their multiple processes and procedures.
